Ruby's Adjustment to her new baby Dylan

Ruby has had quite an adjustment to make when she came home from Petsmart after 3 luxurious nights at the PetHotel to find a new baby brother, Dylan.  At first, Ruby was quite cautious and curious.  A day later, she exhibited jealousy anytime Dylan was held for a feeding or diaper change, barking - demanding attention.  At night, Ruby was extra snuggly in bed.  Now she is taking on the protective big sister role.  Before long, Ruby and Dylan will be best pals!

"Let's Go on a Ride"

Ruby loves going on rides with the window down and a cool breeze blowing in her long flowing hair. She loves looking out the window while Ray plays the drums. Aaahh, the smells and wonders of fresh air! Have you seen a happier face?

Ruby's Favorite Things

Ruby loves taking naps and snuggling with Ray in the whee hours of the morning....zzzzz!

She Picked Me

Ray and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary at my sister Tonya's house in Las Vegas, NV. We had discussed getting a dog for many years, but had never moved forward with it. While waiting to get a massage in Las Vegas, we went next door to a pure bred puppy store. There were many beautiful puppies and we held most of them. When I picked up Ruby to hold her, she worked her magic - she nestled in and snuggled up. She was only 10 weeks old, 4 pounds, and a ball of disheveled fur. I held her for a few minutes and then it was time to go get our massage. When we entered the store, we had no intent to leave with a puppy. After putting Ruby down, another couple picked her up and started discussing her. Before I knew what was happening I marched up to the store owner and told him that was my dog they were holding and put a deposit down to adopt Ruby. We hadn't discussed this at all. I think Ray was as surprised by my actions as I was. She picked me. Needless to say we came home with Ruby and she has changed our lives for the better. I can't imagine life without her. She brings such love and excitement to our home. I love you Ruby!
